HEARTLAND CHURCH exists to produce Christians who are Loving, Growing, Serving, & Sharing
Loving (Worship)
You will grow stronger in your love for God through powerful worship. We desire to glorify God through awe-inspiring worship songs and dynamic messages from God’s word. We believe a worship service should bring us into the presence of the living God. As we praise God and offer personal requests to Him, He draws near to us and strengthens our lives. The sermons are designed to help understand God and give practical ideas that will help in daily life.
Growing (Discipleship)
Nothing is more exciting than a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and discipleship is the process of being trained and committed to the Christian life. Heartland will help you grow deeper by equipping you to cultivate a relationship with Christ. We have a plan to help you in that process! One component is Growth Groups. Growth Groups are 10-15 adults who meet weekly to study, share, and develop Christ-like characteristics. If you desire, we will train you to become a mentor or provide a mentor for you. Mentors are spiritual helpers who come along-side you in one-on-one discipleship.
Serving (Missions)
You and Heartland will grow warmer by serving one another in Christ. Serving starts with a heart that cares for others and soon shows itself in concrete acts of service. Heartland provides many vehicles for serving in our congregation, community, and world. Unsure where your service area might be? We have a plan to help you discover and develop your own special area of service. We then provide short term “first serve” opportunities to help you discover your unique area of ministry.
Sharing (Outreach)
Communicating Jesus Christ is more than public worship services. Our heart’s cry is to show the love and actions of Jesus to our community and the whole world. In very practical ways we stand up for and seek to do what is right. At the same time, we affirm the importance of telling others what we have found in Jesus Christ. In fact, Heartland will grow larger through sharing our faith with seekers in non-threatening ways. Our outreach program concentrates on friendship evangelism and powerful worship to bring Jesus Christ to individuals and to our community. We desire to have every one of us at Heartland invest in seeker’s live and then invite them to our church and to Christ.
