Heartland Church Green Bay Contemporary, Non Denominational Heartland Church of Green Bay is a contemporary, non-denominational church whose mission is to touch people's hearts and transform their lives into dedicated Christ followers

It's Friday afternoon and here's what I want you to do. I want you to think about the prayers that you've prayed this week.  What were the prayers you prayed this morning?  Were they big and bold prayers, were they audacious prayers?  Were they prayers that if they were answered would radically change the lives of the people you come in contact with on a day by day basis?  Were they audacious prayers that if they were answered hundreds would come to know Jesus as their Savior? Were they prayers that if they were answered all these new converts would connect with a growing community of believers who would come around them and would equip them to grow into dedicated Christ followers?

As I think about my own prayers and then I think about how big our God is, I have to wonder sometimes, why am I not making bigger asks? Why are my prayers centered mostly on my family and on me, instead of on “Thy kingdom come”? Now don't get me wrong, every prayer is a good prayer, and God listens to every prayer. He’s concerned about every ask we make. But what would it look like if you and I would pray big prayers and make audacious asks? What if we prayed daily that God's kingdom would grow through touching thousands of hearts and transforming hundreds of lives?

Come on out this Sunday to Heartland and we’ll learn how the early Church prayed audacious prayers and because of their audacious prayers they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Pastor Scott asks, "What would it look like if you and I would pray big prayers and make audacious asks?" I know that my mind and imagination are limited, for the Bible tells us that God can do exceedingly and abundantly MORE than we could ever imagine! So in my limited mind, my prayer of lately has been for a unity and harmony among God's believers. That God's spirit would shine through each one of us through kindness, grace, forgiveness, encouragement and love. Could it be so simple that by living out God's light towards each other, that it would then radiate into the world and draw un-believers into His Kindgom? I can only imagine what it would truly look like to see Christ's spirit in action!

I have been making some mini audacious asks since the Leadership Summit - extending beyond my own little world. I am amazed - and I really shouldn't be-- how God is working to give me the answers to these 'asks'. There have been times in this past month that I have actually had shivers when some of the things I have asked have been answered. If anyone doubts whether miracles still happen today, I am here to say YES they do! I am beginning to understand that the more open we are with asking for God's help the more we begin to feel His presence. This is just the beginning for me...I know God is expecting some even bigger audacious things from me and I finally know I am NOT alone! "Be not afraid, for I am with you". Isaish 43:5
